Join us at the Riley Museum on April 16th for an engaging evening lecture, Choosing Sides: Black Patriots, Loyalists, and the Fight for Freedom in Revolutionary Florida, presented by Dr. Shelley Viola Murphy. This compelling program will explore the experiences, decisions, and resilience of African Americans during the Revolutionary era in Florida, with connections to ancestry and the importance of tracing their origins. Guests will enjoy small bites and beverages, followed by a Q&A discussion with Dr. Murphy.

This lecture is presented in conjunction with a hands-on workshop led by Dr. Juanita Gaston on Saturday, April 18th—an opportunity you won’t want to miss.
