SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

IMLS/FLORIDA LEGISLATURE AWARDS GRANT
The Riley House Museum, as part of its Florida African American Heritage Preservation Network component, received a grant from the Institute of Museums and Libraries and from the Florida Department of State through a legislative appropriation to conduct an intensive professional development training program for Directors of African American museums and cultural organizations across the state of Florida. Nineteen Directors have received services and Ten Directors were targeted to participate in FAME (Florida African American Museum Exchange) forum to receive ongoing technical assistance and skill development (see www.faahpn.com).

NEW PUBLICATION:  Leon County Heritage Trail maps and a supplemental oral history booklet that take visitors on a tour of some of the most significant landmarks and historic sites in the county-a project that was funded by Leon County Board of Commissioners.
Cost: $30.00 for 4 maps and the booklet. Obtainable from Riley House Museum.
